I wanted to share two “achievements” I’ve reached:
- 10,000 subscribers on YouTube
- 4,000 followers on Twitter
Thanks for your advocacy, encouragement, and feedback :)
To celebrate these milestones with you, I’m running giveaways on Twitter. If you are the first person to correctly answer a given question on Twitter, you get to pick any t-shirt from my shop on Printfection and I’ll ship it to you anywhere that Printfection will ship.
If you receive a t-shirt from this giveaway and are comfortable having your face on social media, please send me a picture with you wearing the t-shirt and I’ll share it.
UPDATE (2012/08/12): @Grissle_ gave the first correct answer (mushrooms and onions) to the first giveaway question: what 2 toppings I order on pizza?
UPDATE (2012/08/13): @Cabrasys gave the first correct answer (Republic #63 and GuildCast #9) to the second giveaway question: what were the episode numbers for my 1st time on @gamebreakertv‘s SWTOR Republic and GW2 GuildCast shows?
UPDATE (2012/08/15): @sirurza gave the third correct answer for the third giveaway question: be the 3rd person to answer: what are 6 unique numbers that summed together equal 99?

Congrats to you sir!
I’m sure that like myself people enjoy an objective look at pvp gameplay. Instead of whining and moaning like a lot of people, you speak in a rational tone and give good reasons for why you think things do and do not work. You are not a complainer and this, to me, is why I think your opinions are worth listening to.
Keep up the good work!
PS: liking the Buildcast episodes so far.
Congratulations! I started playing SWTOR back in January and was redirected to your blog when I asked about keybinds. I’ve been suggesting your site to people ever since. I had a ton of fun PvPing with you, and I’m looking forward to it again in Guild Wars 2. :)
BTW: GW2 List of worlds…

Well done Taugrim, you deserve it!
Most comprehensive pvp blogger out there. Grats!
Very much so.
Not only this, but he doesn’t make people feel like idiots whenever answering questions. You deserve it man. I expect a big uptick for you once GW2 releases.
Congratulations !
I followed you since the first Buildcast airing. Great advices, great thoughts on PvP gameplay and be sure I’ll keep coming for more GW2 stuff.
Congratulations Taiugrim!!! Make sure you remember us little people when you get famous ;)
Congrats to you, I really enjoy your content. Good material and you communicate well. Please do more on GW2.
I particularly like the “fundamentals” discussions. Keybinds, strafing, build synergy, condition application and removal and so on. Especially in GW2 where some of the mechanics like dodge and the downed state need more attention. (Thanks for covering downed state btw)
UPDATE (2012/08/12): Grissle gave the first correct answer (mushrooms and onions) to the first giveaway question (what 2 toppings I order on pizza)
Gratz man. I follow you on twitter, and I’m about to sign up on youtube.com. :)
UPDATE (2012/08/13): Cabrasys gave the first correct answer (Republic #63 and GuildCast #9) to the second giveaway question: what were the episode numbers for my 1st time on @gamebreakertv‘s SWTOR Republic and GW2 GuildCast shows?
Taugrim, since you played a bit of Rift back before the PVP got too terrible, I’d like to hear your thoughts on this announcement:
http://forums.riftgame.com/public-test-shard/329494-pts-pvp-normalization-test-tuesday-8-14-4pm-pdt.html
If you could give some sound advice and suggestions to the Rift developers at Trion (above and beyond your “top 5” list), what would they be?
The complete stat normalization for PVP is a great change. This is 1 year after they normalized only the PVP stat Valor.
Aside from that excellent change and the items I mentioned in the video, here are some additional:
1. create mechanics that encourage meaningful World PVP. I’ve heard the 3-faction implementation has holes
2. look at talent trees, make sure there aren’t too many “goodies” in particular ones or that will become too favored in PVP (e.g. the way Warlock was in 2011)
UPDATE (2012/08/15): @sirurza gave the third correct answer for the third giveaway question: be the 3rd person to answer: what are 6 unique numbers that summed together equal 99?
Have you checked out: http://www.gw2skills.net/editor/en/ ? It seems to be the best (and one of the few) up-to-date build tools available. This is also a gentle push to get you and Matt to publish your alternative builds for the Buildcast case studies ;).
